Shutters provide privacy, style and light control. Unlike curtains they can be tailored to fit almost any shape of window perfectly. They are versatile and can be manufactured to the full window height or mounted tier on tier' to create frames within frames. Or, with particularly tall windows, or windows surmounted with stained glass panes, the classic caf© style may be chosen to leave the uppermost glazing exposed, maximising light whilst providing privacy.

To ensure that our products keep looking good and give a lifetime's satisfaction, we apply no less than six coats of stain or paint to the shutters, before your order is carefully despatched for installation in your home.

Finishing

Each and every plantation shutter is made to your specifications. It is crafted and quality checked by craftsmen in our state-of-the-art production facility.

We engineer our shutters to counteract the timber's natural tendency to twist with the grain. It's more work, but it ensures the shutters are truly balanced. With our years of experience, we know this is the best way to prevent the warping and distortion which can arise in shutters manufactured without using this advanced process.

Colour and Stain Options

Colours and stains: These samples are for indication only, an exact match is not guaranteed due to the properties of the wood and screen variations.

Paint: All our painted panels are spray finished to the highest standard to obtain a hard flat finish. In addition we are able to closely match any colour from a variety of popular palettes including Dulux and Farrow & Ball.

Tier-on-tier

Independent panels top and bottom give greater adjustability to make the most of the light, the view or provide you with privacy. Precision made to the millimetre, they can be designed to line up with horizontal and vertical glazing bars to complement your window style.

Cafe Style

Ideal for ground level windows and town houses, caf© style leaves the top of the window un-shuttered, using shutters for the bottom part. This style maximises light whilst providing privacy and light control.

Full height

Our most popular shutter offers endless variations including different blade widths, single or multiple control rods, or custom shapes. We can advise on the best solution for each individual window.

Solid based and solid shutters

Louvred above, solid panels below. An elegant, practical and timeless solution. Our solid shutters are the ultimate, traditional shutter providing an old fashioned look to a window and the added perception of security. We provide these in 3 different styles including shaker style.

Arched and tapered shutters

Our most popular shutter offers endless variations including different blade widths, single or multiple control rods, or custom shapes. We can advise on the best solution for each individual window.

Automated light control

Available now, as an optional specification on our hardwood full height and arched shutters, the remote control feature adds panache and provides automated light control. Precise alignment of multiple panels at the touch of a button is a breeze and brings previously out of reach windows under your control. Wireless, smooth and quiet, this revolutionary development enhances the functionality of your plantation shutters.
